A Business for the Broken

A Business for the Broken https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077LDJSM3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_b13hAb79YBB1F

I can honestly say I enjoyed this book too much. My husband said I was ignoring him and was jealous over this book. There are two story lines to follow in this book so its like you get two books for the price of one. Both story lines are well developed and take time to get you to the part of the underground revenge service.

The underground revenge service has their people around. If they hear a  heartbreaking story, they slip their future client a black business card. A meeting is set up to get any information they can about the person who caused the heartbreak. Revenge is now in the making for those who don’t want to wait on karma to do her work.

I really enjoyed this book. It slowly builds up the characters and makes you feel for them. Then the revenge planning begins and you are happy for the clients. I highly recommend this book.

Edge of the Stars Book 2

Edge of the stars book 2

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077Q8JHKB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_ktehAbZ38ETX0

Dr. Warren’s first female villain is dead. She was using cyborgs and clones to steal classified military data in an attempt to colonize the outer reaches. But her hidden network on Mars is alive and well and following in her footsteps in Book 2.

Warren and his team of five former Terran military personnel have traveled to Mars on an unrelated matter. He steps off his ship onto the Martian Space Station, discovers a dead body, who could be his twin, and is suspected of murder. As his team hunts for the real culprits the plot thickens.

This episode is chock full of action and suspense. The same characters from Book 1 are carried over and even more three-dimensional than before. You also get a good image of the world-building. If you like your Sci-Fi with a generous helping of thrills, tech, and military, you will enjoy this one, too. Read it!

I love to read and write poetry so I got a copy of this book. I really enjoyed the authors writing and style. She really put her heart into these poems and shared them with the world. You really feel what the Author was feeling when she wrote them.

The title Unscrambles Eggs came from her first poem in this book. She says “I can no more unscramble eggs than change the past”. That is so true to me and that one line says a lot.

Autumn Falls Softly is my favorite poem in this book. I just loved that one although the other poems are great too. I recommend this book to all poetry lovers. I really enjoyed it.

Crimson

An awesome book for mythical-fanstasy book lovers.
Crimson (Huntress of the Succubi Book 1) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074M2NWP6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_R4ZgAb4NN1764

Crimson De-Haven was born into a family of demon huntresses. Her ancestors have been demon huntresses for over 100 years. They track and vanquish succubus demons. Female demons that steal the souls of men so they can stay on earth. It forever damns the men to slavery in the underworld. Crimson was born with the sight to see these demons through their human form. They fight the demons with spells, potions, and poisoned buckshot shells.

Over the years Crimson turned into a really good huntress. She started ATL college and began hunting in the city. She was doing good until word got back to Lucena, the head demon in the city of a huntress in the area. She was wondering why demons were missing. This is where trouble starts for her and where my review ends. Will Crimson be able to fight the head demon and all of her demon sisters in the area?

I really enjoyed this book. It sucks you in and it is hard to put down. I enjoyed it. I recommend this book to lovers of mythical-fantasy books. Another note, not for underage children.

Broken https://www.amazon.com/dp/1973162695/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_bWGgAb8JMWG5S

I love to read and write poetry so I got a copy of this book. I really enjoyed the authors writing and style. He really put his heart into these poems and shared them with the world. It is nice to read poems from a man that doesn’t hide his feelings and emotions. This book talks a lot about love and lost love.

One poem really stood out to me when I read it. It seems this is so true these days anymore.

                      Cold World.
It’s a cold world out there, but they keep talking global warming. I try to seek friends, but all I see are storms forming. I try to seek help, so I reach put my hand. But its lonlier than a strait man in the pen.

I recommend this book to poetry lovers out there. I enjoyed this book.

Destination Earth

https://www.amazon.com/Destination-Earth-Philosophy-World-Traveler-Writing-ebook/dp/B01GQKZZ52/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

A pleasurable envy overtook my emotions when I read Destination Earth. I grew up reading National Geographic, imagining myself in distant lands. This book, based on an around the world Odyssey, approaches travel as full immersion into these foreign lands. I loved the way the writer set forth a philosophy to immerse yourself as you travel, even considering the "difficulties and struggles" that a traveler inevitably faces at some point during his explorations. I also liked the inserted vignettes with the travel stories that always have something substantial to teach. One in particular, still has me thinking. In “Legs and Arms” he writes, “My legs are the symbol of my strength and independent spirit. My arms are the symbol of my weakness and my dependent nature.” A fascinating read that brought me back to my childhood love of NG and ignited my wanderlust.

Ever The Wayward Sky

Ever The Wayward Sky
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y6F658N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xTUcAbG71SM6A

This book takes place end of 1800's with Sergeant James Taft. The 4.5 year war between the North and South had ended and James didn't know what to do now. He tried to go home to his mother and his brother and his family. He was too depressed there and decided to head west.
He came to a town and stayed through the winter. Fell in love with a woman but she could not marry him. He was a Yankee and her brother was killed by a Yankee.  So he left with men and families down the Oregon trail where he fell in love with another woman but she didn’t make it to Oregon.
When he got to Oregon he overheard men talking about  trapping and fur trading. He decided to give that a try next. He became to lonely out in the woods alone and ended up going back to civilization. He fell love with an Indian woman and left with their tribe. There is a lot more to read than this though.
This book shows real emotion and how soldiers really feel after they've been to war. If you like stories from the war I'm sure you will like this book. This is the second book I've read from this Author. He is a really good Author and his books are easy to follow, read, and keep up with what’s going on in the story. I love his books and am ready to read his next one.

Driving Grandpa

https://www.amazon.com/Driving-Grandpa-John-Redstand-ebook/dp/B00ZZ7SA78/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1509929349&sr=8-1&keywords=Driving+Grandpa

Driving grandpa. What an awesome book. Elderly folk are awesome and always say things that make you laugh. They just don’t care what comes out their mouth. I started reading this book and had a hard time putting it down when I had to. My growling stomach when I was supposed to be cooking dinner for my family wasn’t as interesting as this book.

The book starts off about a year after grandma passes away. Relatives tried to stay with grandpa but said he was just too ornery, like living with a grizzly bear being attacked by hornets. Grandpa is described as a 90 year old WWII veteran that is unable to drive anymore. The grandson telling the story said the last time he let grandpa drive, he forgot to hit the breaks. Grandpa told grandma he was sitting at a red light and the car on front of him put it in reverse and hit the gas hitting him. Lol. One of my favorite stories in this book.

Well the grandson got a job at the bank going to abandon houses to change the locks. He started taking grandpa with him every day. He stopped to get grandpa one day and found him walking miles from his house saying your crazy uncles tried to put me in a nursing home. Which was actually just an apartment.

Grandpa tells him war stories all the time as they hang out during the day. When he gets questioned about some of his stories he gets defensive. It makes me laugh. This book will have you fall in love with grandpa. But if I told all the funny  stories in this book, there would be no point in buying it. Brace yourself for the ending though. I highly recommend this book. I loved it.

I read this book to my 6 year old daughter. She really enjoyed this book. I asked her if she would want me to read it to her again one day and she said, Yes!!
I also enjoyed this book. I liked the smile on my child’s face at the end of the book. It teaches kids to never give up. The illustrations are also very nice. I highly recommend this book.

After college I went to several interviews with little success. I am still at the same job I was at before I went to college. I got this book to help me land the job I went to college for. There are tips in this book that I never thought of such as after the interview, send a thank you note. And again express your interest in the job.
After reading the resume tips, I am redoing mine. It states that you must have a cover letter. If you are entry level, your resume should only be one page. Fonts used on resumes should be easy to read.
As far as interview tips this book says you should practice your interview. You should arrive prepared. You should have a friendly first impression. Follow their dress code and make eye contact.
This book also has tips on what to do after you land the job. They will be very helpful in my success. Such as take notes during meetings. Avoid office gossip and be a team player.
This book has many more tips. I just listed a couple that stood out most to me. The set up of this book is pretty neat. Its in color and makes it more interesting to your eyes. I recommend this book to anyone out their job/career hunting.
