Julia's Birthday Surprise

This book tells the story of how Julia has way too many dolls. She has so many dolls that she cannot possibly play with them all. One day mom and dad tell her that she has too many. Julia does not have anywhere to put anymore dolls, they are everywhere! Julia decides that the dolls must be sad because no one plays with them.

Julia goes to  bed that night and decides to find children to love all the dolls that do not get played with. Julia donates them to the children's hospital, church, and the school. She spent so much time finding children to take care of her dolls that she forgot it was her own birthday. Julia is totally surprised when mom and dad bought her a big doll house for outdoor play. Julie goes inside and finds all the dolls she decided to keep and has a tea party with them.

This book is wonderful for children. It teaches children to share, give to people that are in need, and to take care of the toys they do have. This book is well written and I love the fact that it rhymes and flows. The illustrations are cute and go with the story. I recommend this book to kids since their is a lot to learn in this book.

This book tells the story of how the turtle says goodnight to the sheep, the bird, frog, dog, rabbit, and the lion. The turtle turtle tells them all why it is important to get some sleep at night. He also tells the scared lion that everything will be alright.

The turtle then heads home to get ready for bed. He brushes his teeth before climbing into bed. Next, he ask his mom to read him a bedtime story. She reads him one about a tiger going to bed. Then the tired little turtle falls fast asleep.

This book is well written and I love that it rhymes. The story is cute and adds a nice story to any childs bedtime story collection. I love the illustrations. They are what drew me to the book to begin with. I recommend this book to everyone, I enjoyed it.

Watch Out For The Bears

This book tells the story of how Tom's father is in charge of the weather huts. Tom is to look after them while his father is gone. He tells Tom to watch out for the bears. After his father leaves and it is time for Tom to check the weather huts, he finds one unlocked and opened. He follows bear footprints into the forest and finds that mother bears had taken his rain clouds. He climbs up the tree and tell the bears that he is taking his rain clouds back. Every time Tom gets one thing back, the bears take another. They took his rainbows, fog, thunder.

This is a Child's First Chapter Book. It does not have any illustrations in it though. I think it would be better if it did since most children's chapter books do have illustrations in them. This is a nice story that teaches kids responsibility. It is well written and I think children will enjoy it. It also teaches patience as Tom waited on the bears to finish taking their showers before he took the clouds and put them back in their huts. I recommend this book to all children.

Brothers

This book tells the story of how big brother feels left out and ignored now that he has a baby brother. He does not understand why the baby does not get in trouble for things he would get in trouble for if he were to do them. One day, his mom brings the baby a teddy bear home and only brings him a ball. He is very angry and takes the teddy bear away from the baby. When the baby cries, suddenly big brother feels really bad about what he did. He gives the teddy bear back to the baby and they agree to take turns hugging the teddy bear.

This book is sweet that big brother learned how to share with his brother. This book shows how older siblings feel when they get a new brother or sister. It is well written and I enjoyed reading this book. I recommend this book to all kids with brothers and sisters. The illustrations are also really nice! My child listened as I read this book to her and enjoyed pointing at the pictures.

Clothes Have Feelings Too!

This book tells the story of a little boy named Charlie that did not take care of his clothes. He takes them off and throws them on the floor instead of putting them in the laundry basket so they can be washed. The clothes come to life and start talking to each other. They decide to teach Charlie a lesson and hide from him. When Charlie gets out of the shower, he cannot find his clothes. He tells his mother that it is her job to pick up his clothes off the floor. This makes Mom very sad and tells him the clothes are angry at him for not taking care of them.

This is all I will say for now. You must read this book to find out if Charlie learned his lesson and whether or not he ever found his clothes and started to take better care of them.

I loved this book and think it is very cute. It is well written and I love the fact that it rhymes. It is also educational and teaches children the responsibility of taking good care of their clothes. I highly recommend this book to all children since every child can benefit from the lesson taught in this book.

Three Little Sisters

This book tells the story of how the Three Little Sisters love to play together without Television, Computers, or Video Games. When they were little, they created their own library and school and pretended that they were going to school. They also loved to go outside and play. They played in the mud, on their swing set, in the pool, and on a boat. They had so much fun together!

This book is for preschool age children. It is illustrated with crayons so that the younger children will related to the pictures and want to go color their own pictures. This book is educational and teaches children to have fun playing together without Television, Computers, or Video Games. It teaches children to appreciate having brothers and sister to play with. They would have been so bored if they did not have each other.

Sophie And Crystal Carter & The Unexpected Secret

This book tells the story of twins Sophia and Crystal who thought their summer would be boring until their mom told them that they would be staying with their grandfather, whom they never met before. They found it very odd for their mom to leave them with their grandfather when they have never even met him before.

They find a spell book in grandpa’s cellar and realize that their mother and possibly they are witches. Grandpa confesses and takes the girls to the magic world because they are afraid that someone is after their mother after grandpa tells them what happened to their father. They must find their mother in the magic world to save her!
This is all I will tell you because I do not want to spoil the rest of the book. I will say that this book is great. I am sure older children and teenagers will love this book. It is very interesting, and gets suspenseful as they have to find their mother to save her life. The ending is very sweet and heartwarming. I highly recommend this book!

Flipper And The Mermaid

This book tells the story of how Maggie the dog and her owner Mary are walking along the beach. Maggie disappears and finds a mermaid named Mandy. Mandy uses her magic so the dog can come swimming under water with her. Maggie finds a treasure chest and the Mandy has to get the dog back to Mary before the ghost of the treasure chest catches Maggie!

That is all I will tell you about this book. You must read this book to know if Mandy is able to get Maggie safely back to the shore before the ghost gets her.

It is a cute book with nice illustrations. Younger children will enjoy this book. My child enjoyed it since she loves dogs and water. It is hard for me to find a book that she will let me finish reading to her. I was actually able to finish reading this book to her. It is a nice, fast, bedtime read.

Saved by the Curls

This is the story of how Annie has beautiful curls but she wants strait hair like her best friend Mia. Annie tries and tries to get her hair strait because she doesn't like her curls. Her mother tries to tell her that she is beautiful just the way she is. She tries to lay books on her hair to straighten it out. Her father tries to tell her we all look different because we would be boring if we all looked the same, but Annie still wanted straight hair.

That is all I am going to tell you though. I do not want to give the ending away. You have to read this book to find out why it is called Saved By The Curls.

I loved this book. It is well written and the illustrations are very nice. It teaches children to be happy with themselves, that everyone is different and special. If we all looked the same, we would be boring and it would be very difficult to be able to know who anyone was.  It teaches children to find a way to be happy with themselves, no matter what it is about themselves that they just do not like.

The Adventures of Maggie Bee

This book tells the story of how Maggie Bee is supposed to collect pollen for her mother so she can make a cake. She gets the pollen and is taking it home to her mother. Along the way home, she keeps finding other bugs that need help. Every time Maggie stops to help other bugs, she loses some of her pollen. When Maggie gets home, she doesn't have enough pollen left to make the cake. Her mother was just so happy that Maggie was kind enough to stop and help all the other bugs.

Their is more to this story, but that is all I am telling you. You have to get the book if you want to know what happens next. I love the ending, it is really great!

I love that this book rhymes and is well written. The illustrations are very nice and colorful also. This book is very sweet and educational. It teaches children that they should always stop and help someone in need. I wish people were all still like that today. I recommend that all kids read this book.

Caden Loves His Momma

This book tells the story of any baby and small child. They love to play the momma, momma, momma game. Most of the time they do not want anything, they just love to say momma. Momma feeds them, bathes them, plays with them, puts them to bed, and gives them  medicine when they are sick. So babies naturally want momma.
All mom’s know it can get a little annoying sometimes when they say momma, momma over and over again, but once the child is all grown up and moves out, momma sits back and realizes how much she misses the days when all the child used to say was momma. This book may bring a tear to your eye.
The illustrations were done with crayon and will attract children to them. Children will see the illustrations as something they could do and may try to draw their own pictures to go with this story. This is a special book for momma to read to her baby or young child and children will love to point at the baby in the pictures!

The Trees Have Hearts

This book tells the story of how a little girl moved to a different country and could not speak their language. All the children picked on her, so she did not have anyone to play with.  The trees are able to speak the girl’s language and try to comfort her by telling her that she will have new friends in no time. The little girl talked to the trees every morning before school and when she got home from school.
When the little girl leaves for summer vacation, she does not tell the trees good bye and leaves them all to worry about her.  She should have told them, they would have understood. The wind found her at the camp and told the trees where she is. They were so worried about her.
This book is well written, very sweet, and very heart warming. The illustrations are beautiful! I will warn you, the end may make you cry. You must read the rest of the story to find out if the girl ever made any new friends. I have already given away too much of the story already. I recommend this book to everyone, especially children that have to move to a new school.

A Book of Poetry for Teenagers

Product Details
Hearts
A pretty little heart.
So perfect in shape and size.
Hoping not to be broken.
 A sad little heart.
Broken too many times.
Hoping soon to heal.
A happy little heart.
Not afraid to face the world.
Hoping to never be alone.
 A scared little heart.
Curled up in the corner.
Wishing for a way out.
 Age 14

The Stars
The stars are so bright and beautiful.
They light the darkness of the night sky.
How did they get there I wonder?
Does anyone really know?
Shooting stars, how they fly by so fast.
How you catch them at night out of the corner of your eye.
Where do they come from?
What are they running from?
When you are out at night,
And you see a shooting star,
Make a wish from afar,
Share with the sky what lies in your heart.
 Age 14
My Shadow
When I go outside and it is sunny,
I know I will have a friend by my side.
My shadow is always there,
It follows me everywhere.
My shadow does not mind,
For it does everything I do.
It loves everything I love,
And never argues or runs away.
My shadow is there to stay,
Right by my side.
Until the day,
Comes to an end.

Age 14
The Rain
 I love the lightning,
The quickness.
How it comes and goes,
Whenever it pleases.
 I love the thunder,
It sounds some mean.
As if it could really harm something,
When it has no effect.
 I love the rain,
Listening to the sound of it falling.
It sounds so comforting as I lie there.
Like nothing else matters.
 Age 14

I See In You

I see the rage in your eyes.
The hurt in your life.
The pain I have caused you.
Yet you hold me so close.

I see fear in your eyes.
Fear in your life.
Afraid of losing me.
Yet you continue to hold on.
I see time in your eyes.
All the time you waited for me.
Hoping I would come back.
I still do not understand why.
I see need in your eyes.
The need to have someone love you.
For someone to hold you close.
I do not think I am that person.
I see happiness in your eyes.
Full of excitement to hold someone.
Happy because someone loves you.
Just as you love me.
I see tears in your eyes.
For all the tears you have brought to mind.
Yet I hold you so close.
And I have not let you go.

Rainy Day
The rain so loud,
The wind so fierce,
There is nowhere to go but here.
Pajama day and blankets warm,
A cup of coffee and a two year old.
Snuggled together on the couch,
Take a nap there is plenty of time.
No other place I would rather be,
While the rain is so loud,
And the wind is so fierce.
Not even a day to cook.
A lazy day is what I took.
Threw it in the crock pot quick,
Dinner served lickity split.
Nice hot bath, soaked it all in.
Relaxed in peace, calmed the nerves.
Threw on more clean pajamas,
Snuggled into a nice warm bed.
Off to dream wonderful dreams,
While the rain is still so loud,
And the wind is still so fierce.

Silver Locket

My baby I bought you a silver locket.
No it does not go in your pocket.
Around your neck resting over your heart.
My love for you will never part.
On it are the words I love you.
Oh you will never know how much I do.
It has a rose engraved on it too.
Pretty and pink just like you.
I hope you will treasure it for all of time.
I hope you love your poem too because it rhymes.
I wrote this poem just for you.
Now you will always have a memory of a new silver locket just for you.

Moon
When it comes out at night,
Its light shines bright.
It lights up the night’s sky,
Makes it easier on the eye.
It tells people when it is time to go to bed,
To lie down and rest their head.
 Till the sun comes back,
It is time to get up out the sack.

Butterfly
I wish I were as beautiful,
As a butterfly.
I wish I could just spread,
My wings and fly away.
I would go on the greatest adventure.
I would visit the whole wide world.
In the end of my journey,
I would stay in the warmest place I found.

A Book Of Poetry For Adults

A Starry Night

On a hot, starry night,
Sitting outside on a porch swing,
Staring up at them,
As they light up the nights sky.
A shooting star I see,
I close my eyes and make a wish,
That my life stays just the way it is,
I could never ask for more.
Sitting quietly except for the sound,
Of crickets talking to each other.
Life could not get,
Any better than this.
As I sit here, rocking on the porch swing,
I could almost fall asleep,
But then I would miss out on,
This beautiful view.
Not a cloud in sight for miles.
The moon so huge tonight.
I can never get enough of,
A summer’s hot starry night.

Tears

I can hold the tears in,
All day long.
I try to make them,
Disappear.
By the end of the night,
When I lay my head,
Upon my pillow,
That is where,
The tears want to be.
I cannot hold them in,
Any longer.
They come on out.
I quietly cry,
Myself to sleep.
Like a little child,
That does not want,
To go to sleep.
My pillow holds my tears,
So that no one,
Can see them.
