This book tells a sad story of how Ana Franken sought to be loved by her mother her whole life. Her mother had a bad life and always took it out on Ana.
Ana’s mothers life went down hill around age 13 when she choose to sleep w a man and got pregnant. Took him away from a family he already had. He despised her and their first born child becoming an alcoholic and an abusive husband.
Ana looked just like her dad so her mother took out her bad life on Ana. Ana was verbally and physically abused her whole life. Even her 3 brothers blamed everything they did on her. Got her in more trouble with her mom. Now matter how good of a child she was her mother never loved her.
When Ana grew up she got married and had a family of her own. She was wealthy beautiful and smart. Yet she still kept going back to see her mother hoping for her approval and love. She eventually tried to stay away from her mother but had a dream she lost her house. Ana went back and saved her home. Ana’s mother still didn't love her. Ana finally decided to stay away from her mother forever.
I enjoyed this book. It was sad and emotional but it ends on a happy note. I am so glad Ana finally decided to never see her mother again.
