I love this book. I highly recommend it to teenage girls. It is very interesting, well written, and keeps you reading more wondering what's going to happen next. Great Paranormal book with a dab of romance.
Lia was an orphan and had been tossed around in the system until she was given a loving foster home along with Chelsea, another orphan. They instantly bonded and deemed themselves blood sisters.
Lia has always seen monsters but this is a secret that she never tells Chelsea who goads her into going thru a haunted house at a fair. Not a good idea... As Lia runs out screaming, she smacks right into Aiden, a stuck-up prep boy too good looking for his own good. That was not a good start for their relationship.

Lia and Chelsea leave the fair and have a flat tire on the way home. As Lia attempts to change the flat tire, two cars crash, one hits Chelsea and takes her life. Lia has an out of body experience and sees everything happening around her.
When she gets to the hospital, her spirit finds Aiden. She doesn't realize that he is the boy she didn't like at first meet at the haunted house. He convinces her to go back to her body.
Lia does not cope well with the loss of her sister. Her therapist prescribed her pills. With Chelsea being gone, the monster activity has increased and has her teetering on the edge of survival. She survived and they want her back.
But you must read the book to find out if the monsters conquer Lia and find out what happened to Aiden.
